About Me

My name is Alicia Wilson, and I am a wife and a mama to two amazing kiddos, as well as a photographer. So when I am not on location with clients or editing images at home, you can probably find me shuttling my children around town while singing along to the latest Disney tunes. For me, photography is all about connection, and allowing families to be themselves and celebrate the love they have for each other. I specialize in using natural light to capture the authentic, heartfelt moments that you will treasure always. My style is full of warmth and contrast and I love to use dynamic lighting to create drama and varied looks throughout my sessions. For me, each family that I photograph is a new story to be told, I would love to tell yours.

"Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I'm going to take tomorrow."

—Imogen Cunningham

Quick Facts:

  1. I was an elementary school teacher for 10 years before becoming a photographer.
  2. I have pretty much memorized every episode of "Parks and Recreation" and "The Office."
  3. My senior year of high school, I was voted "Friendliest" by the whole school.
  4. Photography became a passion of mine after both of my children were diagnosed with severe autism. I wanted to capture our family beautifully and authentically, so I began studying lifestyle and candid photography and my style just grew from there!
  5. My favorite movie is "The Greatest Showman."
  6. I am addicted to podcasts and online workshops. I love to learn new things!
  7. Before every session, I ask for the names of every person that I will photograph. I always arrive to my sessions early and walk the location, praying for each family by name before it starts.
